Maroon Club Reception at Roanoke/Bridgewater Doubleheader - January 18th
On Saturday, January 18th the Maroon Club is hosting a reception in conjunction with the Roanoke men's and women's basketball double header at Bridgewater College. Hosted by Ben Halterman '01 and Jeff Smith, a reception will take place at Boitnott Hall during halftime of both events and between games as well.

The women's basketball team will play Bridgewater in the first game of the day, scheduled for a 1:00 PM start.  The women are 4-7 this season, but hold a 2-0 record in 2014.  The Maroons defeated both Hollins University and Stevenson University in the new year.  In the final games of 2013, senior Paxton Gwin scored her 1,000th point in a game against Maryville College.  She currently sits with a total of 1,057 points in her career with 13 games still left to play in the regular season.  Gwin currently ranks third in the ODAC in poinst per game, netting 16.7 a contest.  Tatum McKee ranks third in the ODAC in steals (23) and second in three-point percentage (44.8%).
 
The Bridgewater women's basketball team is currently 2-7 overall in the 2013-14 season.  The team's two wins have come against Waynesburg and a conference victory over Guilford.  Heather Cantrell ranks second in the ODAC in field goal percentage, hitting 58.3 percent of her shots.  Jessi Storm is third in the ODAC in three-point percentage, knocking down 44.4 percent from behind the arc.  Holly Morgan leads the team in scoring with 11.6 points per game, while Cassidy Burkholder nets 11.4 points per game.
 
On the Men's side, the Maroons boast a 6-4 record and are currently on a three game win streak.  Roanoke defeated Frostburg State on December 30th, and then went on to win the 2014 Dick Leftwich V-Foundation Classic by defeating Immaculata and Ursinus.  The Maroons are led in scoring by Daniel Eacho, who puts away 18.0 points per game.  He is currently ranked third in the ODAC in points per game, as well as being ranked second in the conference in rebounds per game (10.0).  His averaging a double-double makes him the only player in the top-five in the ODAC of both points and rebounds per game.  Julian Ramirez is ODAC's assists leader, dishing out 6.2 per game, while Ethan Humphries ranks third in the conference with 4.3 assists per game. 
 
The Eagles' men's basketball team also currently holds a 6-4 overall record, and recently defeated Bayamon Central in the San Juan Shootout.  Bridgewater is led in scoring by Ed Reddick, who tallies 13.5 points per game.  Reddick ranks fourth in the ODAC in blocks, swatting away 15 so far this season.  Reddick also leads the team in rebounds per game, pulling down 6.2 per contest.  Tavis Stapleton and Ronnie Thomas put away 10.6 and 10.7 points per game, respectively.
 
The Maroon Club Reception will open during halftime of the women's contest, in between games and during halftimes of the men's game.

I-81 traveling South:
