The Lead: The Roanoke College Men's Basketball team ran its winning streak to 11 games with a 105-96 ODAC Men's Basketball road win at Washington and Lee on Wednesday night.

How it Happened:
  • The victory gives RC its best start since 2008-09. It also marks the first longest winning streak and the first time they have started 3-0 ODAC since 2008-09.
  • Cameron Smith led five Maroons in double-figures with 20 points. Carter Wright had 19 points, John Caldwell had 14 points, while Dustin Hassell and Joey Miller each chipped in with 13 points. Caldwell grabbed nine rebounds to help RC to a 39-31 edge on the glass.
  • Roanoke held a 53-39 lead at the intermission. Washington and Lee cut the deficit to 10 points before a 16-4 run by the Maroons that was capped by an Eli Sumpter bucket with 11:02 to go in the game.
  • Washington and Lee cut it to 11 with just under five minutes to go but RC was able convert 10 shots from the foul line to secure the win.
Up Next: Roanoke will travel to Virginia Wesleyan for a 2:00 p.m. ODAC game on Saturday.
