How it Happened
  • The Maroon got career-highs from Joey Miller and John Caldwell who scored 26 and 21 points, respectively. The Maroons shot 51.9% for the game, making 28-of-54 field goals, but were just 5-of-23 from the three-point arc. Carter Wright had 11 points for RC, while John Fitchett had eight.
  • Corey Brown had a team-high 20 points for Randolph. Zach Desgain had 15 points, while Ryan Fields, Josh Freund and Jason Eddie each had 12 apiece for the WildCats. Randolph was 30-of-57 from the field and made 12 three-pointers on the night.
  • The Maroons found themselves down by as many as 15 in the first-half but rallied to close the half with an 11-4 run to go to the locker room down just 38-30.
  • RC was down 11 with six minutes to go in the game but finished regulation on a 19-8 run that was capped by a Joey Miller lay up to tie the game with 17 seconds to play. Miller then blocked Desgain's attempted game-winner on the ensuing Randolph possession to send the game to overtime.
  • With the game tied at 86 apiece in the overtime, Eddie knocked down a three-pointer to put the WildCats out in front 89-86 with 25 seconds to play. Randolph would get a stop on the defensive end and hit two free-throws to ice the game.
