Salem, Va. – Roanoke College sophomores C.J. Miles and John Caldwell have both been named Second-Team All-ODAC as the league announced its yearly awards at a banquet Wednesday evening at the Salem Civic Center.
Caldwell currently leads the Roanoke team and sits sixth in the ODAC with 16.3 points per game, while his 5.9 rebounds per game is 12th highest in the league. Caldwell has made 131 field goals this season which is eight most in the ODAC, while his 61 three-pointers is eighth highest. Caldwell scored 10 or more points in 16 games this season for the Maroons.
Miles is right behind in the scoring column, averaging 14.9 ppg. which is eighth highest in the league. Miles is shooting at a 49.2% clip from beyond the three-point arc which ranks third in the ODAC, while his 87.5% mark from the free-throw line is second best in the league. Miles has 18 double-digit scoring performances this season.
The duo has led RC to a 15-10 record this season. RC will play Emory & Henry in the 2017 ODAC Tournament Quarterfinals Thursday at 8:00 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center.
