Roanoke College Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

The National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) announced their ninth annual Team Academic Excellence Awards on Wednesday afternoon. The Roanoke College men's basketball team was honored by the organization for the 2020-21 season.

These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2020-21 season. To earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA and two-year colleges must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes on the basketball roster during the 2020-21 season.

Roanoke College was one of 148 college and universities across all divisions (DI, DII, DIII, NAIA) and just one of three Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) member institutions to earn the honor.
