With the start of the college basketball season, D3hoops.com began their national Team of the Week awards. Week one would see Roanoke College junior Kasey Draper honored as one of the five players on the Team of the Week.

The Team of the Week presented by Scoutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 25th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week.

Over the weekend, the 20th ranked Roanoke College men's basketball team opened the 2021-22 season by hosting Eastern and Marietta in the tip-off tournament. In an 85-58 win over Easter, Draper scored a game-high 25 points on 10-15 shooting in just 25 minutes of action. In the championship game against #3 Marietta, the junior went for 31 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in a 77-68 win. With 28 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, Draper was named All-Tournament and MVP.
