Draper Named ODAC Player of the Week

Kasey Draper is the ODAC MBB Player of the Week

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced their Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon. Due to the holiday break, the weekly award included all games played from December 20th until January 2nd. Kasey Draper was named Player of the Week after a three game stretch that would see the junior average 26 points per game and picking up Most Valuable Player honors at the 2021 Cregger Invitational.

Roanoke College went 2-1 over a three-game stretch that saw the Maroons pick up wins over Covenant and Buena Vista to take top honors at the Cregger Invitational. In a 59-51 win over the Scots, Draper just missed his career high of 31 points when he posted a double-double with 30 points and 10 rebounds in the come from behind win. In the Championship game against the Beavers, the combo guard/forward recorded his third consecutive double-double with 26 points and 11 boards and was named the Tournament MVP.

Over the break, Draper averaged 26 points, 10.67 rebounds, and 2.67 assists per game. Currently, Kasey is 3rd in the conference with 21.3 points and 7th with 7.5 rebounds per game.
