Roanoke Places Two on All Conference Teams

Draper and U-Edosomwan named All ODAC

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced the 2022 Men's Basketball all conference teams on Wednesday afternoon. Kasey Draper and Efosa U-Edosomwan were named All ODAC by the league's coaches. Each are repeat members after being named all-conference in 2021.

Draper was named and All ODAC 1st team member for the first time after a season that would see the junior become the latest member of the Roanoke College 1,000-point club. Draper was 2nd in the league with 20.5 points per game while finishing the season as the 9th best rebounder (6.6 rpg.). Twice this season the Roanoke native was named ODAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week as well as being honored two times as a member of the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week. In the classroom, Draper carries a 4.0 grade point average in Business and was also named as the 2022 ODAC Men's Basketball Scholar Athlete of the Year. The honor comes less than a week after being named a CoSIDA Academic All-District 1st team member.

U-Edosomwan earned a spot on the All ODAC 3rd team, giving the Maroons two all-conference selections for the second consecutive season. The junior guard averaged 13.4 points per outing while also placing in the top 20 in the league with 5.2 rebounds per game. U-Edosomwan was 8th in the conference with 114 defensive rebounds and while shooting 50.8% from the field, his 135 field goals made were 10th in the ODAC.

The Roanoke College men will begin play in the 2022 ODAC Men's Basketball Tournament on Thursday.
