The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced their 2022 Men's Basketball All State teams on Wednesday afternoon. For the second year in a row, Roanoke College guard/forward Kasey Draper was named 1st team All State for the College Division.
The honor was just the latest for the junior from Roanoke. After a season that saw Draper post 20.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, he was named 1st Team All ODAC, ODAC Men's Basketball Scholar Athlete of the Year, 2nd Team D3hoops.com All Region, as well as a CoSIDA Academic All American. Draper is one of three repeat members of the VaSID 1st team (Buzz Anthony and Tim Fisher).
VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference office in the state of Virginia.
