Golf Finishes 10th at the Ted Keller Invitational

Ashland, VA - The golf team finished with a 10th-place finish at the Ted Keller Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon this weekend. The men completed the weekend with a combined score of 410, just one stroke behind McDaniel College and one ahead of Greensboro College (411).
Mark Ashby and Chris Devine each led the Maroons on Saturday on the front nine, shooting a 38. Josh Chocklett added a 42 followed by Stephen Soltis with 43. Ryan Robertson ended the first day with a 43, rounding out the total of 207.
In the back nine, Ashby shot a team-high 74 to give him including a third-place individual finish after the first day. Robertson showed vast improvements in the second day, shooting nine strokes better to finish second on the team with 37, giving him an 83. Chocklett and Devine each shot an 83 while Soltis rounded out the group with an 86.
Robertson bounced back and shot five strokes better with a 78 to finish at 161, placing 40th. Devine and Chocklett finish with scores of 165 and 167, respectively.
The men will return to action on Sept. 21-23 at the Bridgewater Tournament in Harrisonburg, VA.
