Roanoke Places 14th at Jekyll Island Invitational

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. --- Roanoke Golf placed 14th at the Jekyll Island Invitational last weekend. The men shot a combined score of 933 in the three-round tournament. It was the Maroons second outing of the spring.
The Maroons improved in each of the three rounds over the weekend, with a 300 on Sunday. The first two rounds were 318 and 315 before their 15-stroke difference on the final day. Four of the five golfers improved their scores in the final round to help their cause.
Adam Skaff (230) placed 37th with scores of 76, 80 and a weekend-best 74 on the final day. Ryan Robertson shot a 231 to place 45th with a 73 on the final day of the tournament. He shot a 78 and an 80 the first two days.
Patrick Guzi placed 94th with scores of 85, 78 and 77 for a total of 240. Casey Fallon and Brendon Ketron finished with scores of 241 and 245, respectively. Fallon shot a tournament-best 76 as he improved every day at the weekend invitational.
The team will travel to Williamsburg, Va. to play in the Shipbuilders Invitational at Fords Colony Country Club April 5.
