Roanoke Places Seventh in Marlin Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. --- The Roanoke College golf team competed in the Marlin Invitationalhosted by Virginia Wesleyan on Feb. 27. The tournament featured five ODAC schools and #2 Christopher Newport.

The Maroons had a total of 340 to earn a seventh place finish in their first tournament of the spring season.
Adam Skaff led the Maroons individually with a +10 (82) to tie him with two ODAC opponents and one USA South opponent for 10th place overall. Patrick Guzi was one stroke behind Skaff (83) to tie for 14th.
Also finishing in the top-30 was Casey Fallon and Brandon Ketron. Fallon went 15 over par to tie David Hess from Averett for 26th while Ketron finished +16 tying for 28th.
The Maroons will travel to Jekyll Island on Mar. 18 for their second invitational of the spring season.
