Roanoke Tied for Third at Glenn Heath Memorial Shipbuilders Tournament

Williamsburg, Va. --- The Roanoke College men's golf team tied for third-place at the Glenn Heath Memorial Shipbuilders Tournament April 4, 6-7. Other ODAC-members that competed in the tournament were Lynchburg (1st), Randolph-Macon (2nd) and Virginia Wesleyan (5th).
The Maroons shot a two-round combined score of 640 (+64) with an 18-stroke differential in the second round, shooting a 311. They tied for third with Pitt CC after finishing day one in fifth-place and five strokes shy of fourth. Everyone improved their score in the second round, similar to their last outing at the Jekyll Island Invitational on March 20.
Adam Skaff finished ninth individually with a 156 (+12). He shot four-strokes better with a 76 in day two of the tournament. Patrick Guzi placed 16th (160) which was 16-over par for the two-rounds. He shot six-strokes better with a 77 on the second day.
Ryan Robertson (161) and Brandon Ketron (163) placed 18th and 19th, respectively, in the three-day event. Casey Fallon was 24th with a 166 (+22) and also shot six-strokes better in the latter round.
The men will travel to Cape Charles, Va. to play in the ODAC Championships at Bay Creek Resort held April 16-18.
