Ashland, VA --- The Roanoke College golf team finished second in the Virginia State Championship at Hanover Country Club in Ashland. This second place finish was the best finish for the Maroons this season.
Roanoke was led by Chris Devine who shot 11 over par for a total of 152. A mere one stroke behind Bridgewater's Mike Redwood ensured Devine a third place finish. Adam Skaff had another excellent showing with a total 157 to tie him for ninth place.
The men return to action on Oct. 26 at the Tom & Beattie O'Briant Memorial in Greensboro, NC.
