Roanoke Places Seventh at Ted Keller Memorial
The Maroons' golf team placed seventh in the Ted Keller Memorial this past weekend. Roanoke finished with a combined score of 612 over two rounds.
Brandon Ketron (Abingdon, VA, Abingdon) led the Maroons with an overall score of 148. He tied for sixth place with Max Wyndorf from Randolph-Macon. Ketron was one of only two golfers from Roanoke's squad who improved strokes in the second round; Peter Weisel (Montclair, NJ, Montclair Kimberley Academy) improved by four strokes and Ketron improved by two.
Adam Skaff (Charleston, WV, Charleston Catholic) tied at 12th place with six other athletes from Christopher Newport, Hampden-Sydney, Randolph-Macon and Greensboro. Skaff finished the memorial with a score of 151.
Roanoke's golf team will travel to Wintergreen, VA next week for the Virginia State Intercollegiate Championship, Oct 10-12.
