Roanoke takes 12th at Tom and Bettie O'Briant Memorial

GREENSBORO, NC --- Roanoke placed 12th at the Tom and Bettie O'Briant Memorial. The Maroons were led by Adam Skaff (Charleston, WV, Charleston Catholic) who finished the tournament with a score of 159, good enought for 30th individually. Methodist University won the tournament.

All Roanoke golfers improved their scores in the latter round of the tournament. Skaff improved by nine, while Brandon Ketron (Abingdon, VA, Abingdon) finished only one stroke behind Skaff, with a total of 160. Rob Pepi (Huntington, NY, Walt Whitman) had the greatest improvement with a 10-stroke difference between his first and second round; as he finished with a score of 162.

Casey Fallon (Newburyport, MA, The Gunnery) and Patrick Guzi (Goodview, VA, Staunton River) brought up the end of the scoring for the Maroons with strokes of 164 and 186, respectively. They both improved by six strokes in the second round.

This was the last tournament for the Maroons until the spring season.
