Roanoke finish play at Jekyll Island Invitational
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. -- Rob Pepi (Huntington, NY, Walt Whitman) shot a 78 in the final round finishing with a three-day score of 226, tied for 48th, to lead the Maroons who finished the Jekyll Island Collegiate with a 25th-place score of 936.
Methodist took the title with a score of 871, while Centre College's Chris Morris took the individual honors, scoring 202.
Brandon Ketron (Abingdon, VA, Abingdon) finished with a three-round scorecard of 229, three strokes behind Pepi. He posted the same scores as his teammate through the first two rounds to lead Roanoke. Adam Skaff (Charleston, WV, Charleston Catholic) (237) shot a personal-best 76 in the first round of the invitational. Ryan Davis (244) fired a 79 in the opening round as well, while Michael Moon (274) had the largest improvement in the final round, shooting 13-strokes better for the second day.
The golf team will return to action in the Camp LeJeune Invitational in North Carolina from March 24-27.
