Golf Competes at Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. --- Roanoke College placed 24th at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational over the weekend at Pine Lakes Golf Club hosted by Oglethorpe University. As a team, the Maroons shot a three-round scorecard of 933 (+69), tying with Centre College.

The Maroons opened up the first round with their highest score of the tournament (318), but rebounded with a weekend-best round of 306, shooting 12-strokes better than the opening round. On the final day, Roanoke fired a 309.

Adam Skaff led the Maroons by placing 53rd with an overall score of 226. His best round of the tournament was a team-best 71 (-1) in the second day of the invitational. Brandon Ketron (232) finished 84th while Rob Pepi wasn't far behind the senior captain with a 234. He shot a team-best 75 in the final day of the tournament. Ryan Davis (241) improved his score in each of the final two days of the invitational, shooting a 79 and 78, respectively.

The men will compete in the Camp LeJeune Invitational hosted by the United States Marine Corps Mar. 29-Apr. 1 held at Paradise Point Golf Club.
