Ketron, a team captain who was named ODAC Player of the Week announced Monday, was the low medalist on the Scarlet Course in the consolation bracket, which placed him as the best-finishing ODAC competitor in the field. Ketron fired three sub-70 rounds during the three-round affair (all teams play one round on each the Gold and Scarlet courses in the first two rounds). He opened with a 3-under 69 on the par 72 Gold Course (7,040 yards), and followed that with a 2-under 68 on the par 70 Scarlet Course (6,120 yards).
The Maroons as a team did not qualify as one of the top-16 teams to play in the championship bracket for round three. Ketron, meanwhile, stayed hot as he went under par for the third-straight round with a 1-under 69 on the Scarlet Course to finish with a 6-under-par 206, two shots clear for Scarlet medalist honors.
Rob Pepi finished second among the Maroons with a 224 scorecard over the weekend. His best round was in the second day, firing a 73. He shot a 74 on the final day of the tournament. Cameron McLaughlin was three strokes behind teammate Pepi (227) and shot a personal-best 72 in the second round. Ryan Davis had a final score of 230,firing a weekend-low 71 in the second round.
The men will have Easter weekend off and will host the Roanoke Invitational. The Tournament is scheduled for April 13-15 at Roanoke Country Club.
