Maroons Place 11th in Tom Kinder Memorial Golf Tournament
HARRISONBURG - The Roanoke College golf team placed 11th in the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament, held on September 16-17 at Lakeview Golf Course.

The Maroons finished the tournament with a score of 619, three strokes out of 10th and 15 strokes from fourth place. Milligan College won with a score of 579, while Old Dominion Athletic Conference schools, Bridgewater College (583) and Washington and Lee (590) took second and third, respectively. Trevor Banks from Virginia Intermont won the Tom Kinder Memorial, shooting 65-69, for a two-day total of 134 (-10).

Brent Jernigan was the low shooter for Roanoke, finishing tied for 34th with a two-round total of 153 (+9). Cameron McLaughlin tied for 37th, shooting 154 (+10), while Jack Prater shot 155 (+11) to take 42nd. Robbie Scott shot a 77 on the second day of action to move into a tie for 48th, tallying a score of 157 (+13). Harrison Grymes shot 81-79 during the tournament to finish with a total of 160.

The Maroons finish up the Hampden-Sydney invitational on September 25th. They will go on to play in the VA State Intercollegiate in Danville, VA, this weekend.
