PINE MOUNTAIN, GA – The Roanoke College golf team placed 16^th in the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate that took place on March 1-2 at the Mountain View Course.

Oglethorpe won the team competition, shooting a total 587 over the two-day tournament. Oglethorpe's David Kleckner took the individual title as well, shooting a two-round total of 141 (70-71).

Roanoke's Andrew Butts was Roanoke's top shooter for the weekend, shooting a total of 161 (82-79), tying for 54^th place. Kolton Cooper shot the second lowest score for the Maroons with a two-day mark of 165 (81-84). Jack Prater and Alex Taylor took third and fourth on the Maroon squad shooting 173 and 177, respectively. William Retain finished the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate with a two-round total of 178.

The Maroons return to action in two weeks, as they compete at the Jekyll Island Invitational. The tournament, which runs from March 13-16 will be held at Pine Lakes Golf Course, Jekyll Island's longest course.
