Golf Places Eighth At Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate
Camp Lejeune, NC – Kolton Cooper took seventh place helping lead the Maroons to an 8th place finish in the 43rd Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate that took place on March 28-30 at the Paradise Point Golf Club.
 
Nebraska Wesleyan won the team competition, shooting a total 600 over the two-day tournament.  Shenandoah's Evan Cocke took the individual title, shooting a two-round total of 142 (72-70).
 
Roanoke's Kolton Cooper was the Maroon's top finisher for the weekend, shooting a total of 147 (70-77), tying for 7th place. Alex Taylor shot the second lowest score for the Maroons with a two-day mark of 155 (73-82). Andrew Butts took third on the Maroon squad shooting 157. Cameron McLaughlin and William Reitan both finished the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate with a two-round total of 163.
 
The Maroons return to action in next week, as they compete at the Roanoke Invitational.  The tournament, which runs from April 4-6, will be held at the Roanoke Country Club, in Roanoke, VA.
