Bridgewater College and Mars Hill University both tied for the team victory, shooting two day scores of 608. Over the tournament, the teams shot alternating round scores of 302 and 306. Bridgewater's Elijah Tackett won the individual title, shooting an overall score of 147. He shot Sunday's lowest round of 73. Ferrum's Scott Obenshain took second place, just one stroke behind Tackett with a 148.
Roanoke took fourth place with a two-day score of 638. The Maroons were led by Kolton Kooper, who placed in a tie for 17th after shooting a two-day total of 157. Alex Taylor followed just two strokes behind in a tie for 19th with a 159. John Willard, Jack Prater and Andrew Butts finished in 21st-22rd shooting 161, 162 and 163 respectively. Cameron McLaughlin tied for 26th after shooting a score of 164 (87-77).
Will Reitan finished a stroke behind McLaughlin for 29th, shooting 165. William Brown took 35th after a two-day effort of 169. Karlyn East (179) and Nicklaus Norris (186) finished in 44th and 47th respectively.
The Maroons return to action on April 26-29 as they compete at the ODAC Championships. The match will be held in Conover, NC at the Rock Barn Golf Club.
