WILLIAMSBURG, VA – The Roanoke College golf team finished in third place in the 2015 Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial golf tournament on Monday, April 13^th.

Because of inclement weather possibilities, the tournament, which was scheduled to run over two days, was consolidated to a one day, two round event.  There were 13 teams competing in the event, with seven Old Dominion Athletic Conference teams among the field.  Patrick Henry community College picked up the victory over Shenandoah in a one-hole playoff, as the two teams were tied with +24 after two rounds.  The Maroons finished in third place with a two round total of 619 (+43).

Will Brown tied for 10^th place to lead the Maroons in the Tournament.  Brown finished with a total of 159 (+9), but was sitting in third place after the first round of play.  Colin Hancock and Ryan Davis finished in 13^th and 14^th places respectively.  Hancock shot a total of 155 (+11), shooting 77-78, while Davis had a 156 tally (+12), hitting 77-79 for the day. 

Jack Prater tied for 29^th after play 36 holes on Monday.  Prater shot 85 in the first round and dropped down to a 78 in the second, finishing with a total of 163 (+19).  Kolton Cooper followed by tying for 31^st, shooting a two day total of 164 (+20).

The Maroons return to action on April 19-21 as they travel to Conover, NC to compete in the ODAC Golf Championships.  The event will be held at the Rock Barn Golf & Spa.
