Golf Places Ninth At Ted Keller Memorial
ASHLAND – The Roanoke College golf team took ninth place in the 2014 Ted Keller Memorial Golf Tournament, held October 13-14 at the Hanover Country Club.

The Maroons finished the tournament with a total score of 623 (309/314).  Roanoke sat in eight place after the first day, but dropped a spot into ninth on day two.  Franklin and Marshall took home the team title, winning with a two-day score of 592 (+32).  Randolph-Macon took second place with a two-day mark of 604.  Franklin & Marshall's Brad Lankler and Randolph-Macon's Kyle Fuller tied for first place shooting 144 in two rounds.

Andrew Butts led the Maroons in the tournament, shooting 150 (73-77) over the two days to tie for seventh place.  Alex Taylor finished in the top-20 taking 20th place with a 154 (76-78) finish.  William Brown finished in 30th after shooting 157 over the two days (78-79).  Kolton Cooper (82-81) and William Reitan (83-80) tied for 46th place shooting a two-day total of 163.

The Maroons return to action on October 27-28 as they travel to Greensboro, NC to play in the O'Briant/Jansen Memorial Tournament.  The tournament will be played at the Sedgefield Country Club.
