The Lead: Andrew Butts carded an even par 71 to finish in a tie for second-place after the first-round of the Shenandoah Invitational on Sunday.

How it Happened:

  • Butts enters Monday's final round tied with Hampden-Sydney's Aaron Persily and Bruce Shober and one stroke behind H-SC's Alex Simmons who is atop the leaderboard at one under.
  • RC shot 323 as a team and currently stands in 14th place overall. Hampdpen-Sydney sits alone in first-place with a 286, 15 strokes ahead of second-place Stevenson.
  • Nick Peters of Roanoke currently sits in 39th place after shooting a nine over par on Sunday.
