How it Happened:

  • On day one, Roanoke would see themselves in 14th place after an opening day 318. Freshmen Palmer Cuny and TJ Whelan posted a pair of 79's to pace the Maroons
  • On the second day the wind and scores would rise. Junior Justin Grenier fired a 6-over par 77, finishing 53rd in the 119-golfer field.
  • Roanoke would fall one spot, finishing 15th.
  • The Maroons cracked the top 100 in the first GolfStat rankings of the season and moved up five spots last week. The Maroons will await the final fall rankings that are scheduled to come out later this week.

Up Next: Roanoke will start up the spring portion of their season when they travel to Lynchburg to compete in the Hill City Invitational, hosted by Lynchburg, in mid-March.
