Freshman Jeff Keating named ODAC Player of the Week

Freshman attack Jeff Keating was named ODAC Player of the Week announced this morning. He is the first Roanoke player this season and the first Maroon freshman in school history to garner the weekly honor.
Keating, a freshman from Chatham, New Jersey, led Roanoke last week with 10 goals along with two assists in three games. He is currently leading the team in goals and second in scoring and shots. He scored four goals in wins over Greensboro and Birmingham-Southern while notching two more in a victory over Franklin & Marshall.
Roanoke is 4-0 this season and has scored over 20-goals in all four games. It is currently the most consecutive 20-point games since 1993 and the best start since 2005.
The men will travel south to Orlando, Fla. as they will take on Kenyon on March 4. The Maroons will look to get revenge after Lords came into Kerr Stadium and defeated the Maroons, 14-11 last season. Roanoke defeated the Lords, 14-8 in their other meeting in 2003 which gives them a 1-1 series record. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
