Men's Lacrosse Ranked #4 in USILA Div. III Top-20 Poll

Roanoke College men's lacrosse jumped up one spot to fourth in the USILA Div. III Top-20 poll announced Monday afternoon. They are also ranked fifth in both the lax.com and Casey Powell/Just Lacrosse Div. III polls.
The Maroons (7-0), who are off to the best start in school-history, are tied with the 1978 National Champions and the 1979 National Quarterfinalists for the record. The five-straight 20-goal games set a school-record.
Roanoke is led offensively by Matt Quinton with 25 goals, 33 points, 56 shots, 40 shots on goal and five man-up goals. Chas Carlson's 11 assists also leads the Maroons. Justin Tuma's 44 groundballs, Greg Khanzadian's 68 face-off wins and Jake Dorsey's 69 saves anchors the defense.
The men will host Richard Stockton this Thursday, March 19 at Kerr Stadium in non-conference action. It will be the Maroons third of four first-time opponents this season. The Ospreys are currently 2-0 on the season and will take on ODAC-member Guilford today. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
