The Roanoke College Men's Lacrosse program moved up one spot to seventh in the Week 11 USILA Top-20 Coaches Poll announced this afternoon. It's the first time in over a month that the Maroons moved in the weekly rankings.

Roanoke (14-3) which defeated #18 Lynchburg, 12-10 in the 2011 ODAC Championship, was ranked fourth in the NCAA Div. III South Region Rankings. The only three losses suffered this season came against #1 Salisbury, #3 Stevenson and #6 Dickinson. The men are riding a nine-game win-streak and finished undefeated in the ODAC for the third-straight year, upping the conference win-streak to 20.

The Maroons are ranked among the best in NCAA Div. III in points per game (1^st), assists per game (1^st), groundballs per game (2^nd), scoring offense (3^rd) and man-up offense (5^th). Justin Tuma (Bloomfield Hills, MI, Lahser), who was named both the Scholar-Athlete and Player of the Year in the ODAC, is fifth nationally in groundballs and 19^th in face-off win percentage.

The 2011 Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament field was selected on Sunday evening as Roanoke earned its 23^rd bid. The Maroons will host SCAC champion, Colorado College (15-0) on Wednesday, May 11 at Kerr Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
