#10 Roanoke Downs Kenyon, 19-7 in Men's Lacrosse Action
ORLANDO --- Roanoke outscored Kenyon, 7-0 after the first quarter en route to a 19-7 victory over Kenyon in men's lacrosse action Thursday afternoon. The Maroons, ranked #10 in the country (USILA), improve to 3-1 while the Lords slip to 2-2 on the season.

Richard Lachlan led all scorers with six goals while Jeff Keating totaled three goals and three assists. With his scoring tally on the day, Keating passed his brother, Chris Keating '06 on the career scoring list at Roanoke.

Lachlan scored four of his six goals in the first-quarter scoring barrage while Mike Hayden scored both of his goals as well in that span. The Lords chipped away at the Maroons lead, scoring four of the next six goals to make it 9-4 with 12:43 left in the third quarter.

From there Keating, Lachlan and Drew Bracken combined to score seven of the next eight goals to put the game away. Three of those goals were during man-up opportunities.

Reid Mayberry netted a season-best three goals as Hayden put up two goals and two assists in the non-conference victory. Charles Pease earned the victory in goal for Roanoke as he finished with seven saves in over 56-minutes of action. Mike Hardon came in for the final 3:29 and didn't allow a goal.

Max Satosky won 11-of-16 face-offs and collected four groundballs. Michael Lintner led Roanoke with five groundballs while Bracken scored twice an had four groundballs.

Kenyon was paced by Mackie Avis with two goals and an assist. Caleb Florence scored twice while Chris Pappalardo had a goal and an assist.

Nick Massa had only one save before being pulled after one quarter. Fletcher Franklin was credited with the loss but collected 10 saves in the losing effort.

The men will host #13 Dickinson in a top-15 showdown Sunday, March 11. The Red Devils have knocked off the Maroons in both meetings over the past two seasons. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Kerr Stadium.
