Men's Lacrosse Game Notes vs. Guilford
Tonight at Donald J. Kerr Stadium, the Roanoke College men's lacrosse team will face Guilford to close their regular season. Roanoke is 10-3 this season, with a 5-1 mark in ODAC play. The Guilford Quakers post a 6-8 record, 1-5 in conference play, and are coming off an 18-4 loss at Lynchburg on Saturday.

Roanoke's last time out, they defeated Randolph-Macon, 25-14, on Saturday. The Maroons honored their 2012 senior class before seniors Jeff Keating (Chatham, NJ, Chatham) and Reid Mayberry (Annandale, VA, W.T. Woodson) set career highs. A Chatham, New Jersey native, Keating finished the day with four goals and five assists for a career-high nine points. Mayberry, who transferred to Roanoke from Salisbury University, tallied seven goals on the afternoon.

The Maroons lead the all-time series with the Quakers, 28-2, and have not lost to Guilford since 1991. Roanoke's 20-game winning streak over the Quakers is the second longest active streak, behind only the Maroons' 36 straight victories over Randolph-Macon. Greensboro was the last team from North Carolina to beat Roanoke, downing the Maroons, 18-14, in 1999.

Keating is the team's leading point-getter with 63, coming from 33 goals and a team-high 30 assists. The senior needs one goal to move into sole possession of second place on the all-time goal scoring list at Roanoke. He is currently tied with Pat March '10 in second place with 152 career tallies. Richard Lachlan (Port Coquitlam, B.C., Terry Fox Secondary) leads the Maroons in goals with 35, and is ninth on the all-time list with 130.

In the USILA Poll announced on Monday, Roanoke made a return to the Top-10. The Maroons are tied at number nine with Dickinson, who defeated Roanoke, 14-9, on March 11th. This marks the first time Roanoke has been included in the Top-10 since the second week of the season.
