Washington & Lee is coming off a one goal win over Hampden-Sydney on the road on Wednesday. The Generals used three two-goal efforts to escape with a 9-8 victory in the quarterfinals. Washington & Lee sits at 9-8 this season and finished the regular season with a 3-4 record in ODAC play. The Generals have three players with 40 or more points, and are led by Scott Meehan, who has 24 goals and 21 assists for 45 points.
Roanoke bested Washington & Lee in their regular season meeting on April 4th, 14-12. Jeff Keating (Chatham, NJ, Chatham) led the way for the Maroons, posting seven points from three goals and four assists. The senior from Chatham, New Jersey leads Roanoke with 71 points. His 35 assists lead the ODAC, and his 5.1 points per game are the best in the conference, and seventh in all of NCAA Div. III. Richard Lachlan (Port Coquitlam, B.C., Terry Fox Secondary) is third in Div. III in goals per game, and has the second highest total in the ODAC, while leading the Maroons. The Maroons, who haven't played since defeating Guilford, 17-7, on April 18th, are 11-3 this season, with a 6-1 mark in conference play.
