Roanoke had three players named Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Player of the Week announced Monday evening. Jeff Keating (Men's Lacrosse), Tim Smith (Men's Outdoor Track) and Darragh Evarts (Women's Lacrosse) garnered the weekly honor for the first time this season.

Keating, a senior attack, led the Maroons to a pair of ODAC wins with 13 total points between the two games. In a 26-3 triumph over Randolph, Keating tallied four goals and dished out a pair of assists. He also picked up two ground balls. In a 14-12 win over Washington and Lee, Keating scored three times and passed out four helpers for a game-high seven points. Keating is currently first in the ODAC in points (54), assists (25), man-up goals (13), and man-down goals (2), and is fifth in goals scored (29).


Smith, a senior distance runner, put his ODAC champion cross country skills to work for a big day at the Duke Invitational over the weekend. In the 10,000-meter run, Smith crossed the finish line first overall in a time of 30:55.43, besting runners from all NCAA divisions. Smith's time set a new school-record in the Div. III-era, which ranks 20th in NCAA Div. III this season, and set a new ODAC season-best time.


Evarts, a freshman attack, put together possibly the finest week of her rookie campaign with 13 points on 11 goals and two assists during Roanoke's 2-0 week. In a 20-6 win over Randolph, Evarts scored seven times on seven shots while also handing out an assist. She also racked up nine draw controls, six ground balls and caused three turnovers. In a 15-9 win over Sweet Briar, Evarts added four goals and one more helper while picking up one grounder and forcing a pair of turnovers. Evarts is third on Roanoke's squad with 48 points, and is sixth in the ODAC with 39 goals.
