Gerrie Named 2013 USILA Scholar All-American
PERRY, NY - Roanoke College men's lacrosse senior, Brayden Gerrie was named to the 2013 USILA Scholar-All America Team, announced Tuesday.

In 1989 the USILA Scholar All-America Program was established to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities. The USILA Selection Committee selects an overall team representing Division I, II and III. The Scholar All-Americas are recognized at the annual Lacrosse All-America Banquet.

Gerrie is an outstanding talent both on the field and in the classroom. During his time at Roanoke, he was voted the 2013 Exercise Science Major of the Year award, Health and Human Performance Department Award, as well as being published in the International Journal of Exercise Science in January.

On the field Gerrie has been twice been named All-ODAC, including a First Team nod in 2013. He was named USILA All-American in 2012, and earned an All-American Honorable Mention in 2013. Gerrie played in all 20 games for the Maroons and scored four goals off of seven shots. He also picked up 67 ground balls and forced 24 turnovers. Over his four year career, he tallied 12 goals and six assists, as well as 152 ground balls and 56 caused turnovers.
