PERRY, NY - The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team was ranked #8 in the 2014 USILA Preseason Poll, announced Monday, February 10th.  The Maroons were tabbed with the same ranking in the Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Poll.

There are six opponents in the pre-season USILA survey that the Maroons will face this season.  On February 16^th, Roanoke plays host to St. Mary's College, who was picked 18^th in the poll.  St. Mary's made its first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season, but fell to Lynchburg in the first round.  In the very next game, Roanoke takes on Denison University, ranked 15^th in the poll.  Denison won the NCAC regular season in 2013.

On March 8^th, the Maroons will play #7 Dickinson at Kerr Stadium.  Dickinson finished the season with a record of 18-1 last year, losing its only game to Salisbury in the NCAA Quarterfinals.  On March 15^th, Roanoke travels to Stevenson to take on the poll's #1 squad.  The Maroons face off against reigning NCAA Division III champions on the road.

On March 29^th, Roanoke takes on #14 Washington and Lee in Lexington, VA.  The Maroons defeated the Generals in the ODAC championship game in 2013.  #11 Lynchburg comes to Salem on April 5^th to play the Maroons.  Lynchburg knocked the Roanoke out of the NCAA Tournament in a second round contest.

Roanoke opens the 2014 regular season against #16/18 St. Mary's College at Kerr Stadium.  That contest is scheduled for a 2:00 PM start.
