SALEM – The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team won its third consecutive Old Dominion Athletic Conference game, defeating Randolph-Macon College 10-4 on Wednesday evening. The Maroons now have a record of 10-4, 6-1 in the ODAC, while the Yellow Jackets are now 6-6; 2-3 in ODAC play.

With the win, the Maroons are now 10-4 on the season, giving Roanoke its 6th consecutive 10-win season. That mark is a new program record for consecutive 10 win seasons. The previous record was five, with Roanoke tallying five 10-win seasons from 2003-2007, averaging over 13 wins per season. Through the Maroons recent five year span of 10-win campaigns, Roanoke is averaging almost 16 wins per season, with a program best 18 wins in 2010.

Randolph-Macon struck first in the opening quarte as Kyle Snodderly scored a man up goal with 8:01 to play in the frame. Roanoke's Nick Wolf responded a little over a minute later as he scored the equalizer with 6:55 to play in the quarter. After one period, the teams were tied at one apiece. Roanoke started to take the upper hand in the second quarter, scoring four unanswered goals. Chris Nye opened the scoring with a man-up goal off of a pass from Joey Dishaw to take the 2-1 lead. Steven Jackson netted an unassisted goal at 8:39 put the Maroons ahead by two. In the final three minutes, Roanoke potted two man-up goals to close out the half. The first came from Colin Rossano, acting off of a pass from Will Pilat. The second was from Chad Smith in the final five seconds of the period, assisted by Joey Dishaw. At halftime, Roanoke led 5-1 over Randolph-Macon.

The third quarter was quite similar to the second, as Roanoke scored three goals against the Yellow Jackets. Will Pilat scored the first for the Maroons at 7:17, assisted by Will Carter. Kevin Jackson scored his first with 2:39 to play, unassisted. James Fisher scored just 20 seconds later with an unassisted goal as Roanoke led after three quarters, 8-1. The Maroons were outscored by Randolph-Macon, 3-2, in the final quarter. Roanoke's goals came from Nick Wolf and Kevin Jackson, each scoring their second of the night. Roanoke's lead from the first three quarters would keep the advantage safe as Roanoke defeated Randolph-Macon, 10-4 on Wednesday evening.

The Maroons were led in scoring by Kevin Jackson and Will Pilat, who each finished with three points on the night. Kackson scored two goals with one assist, while Pilat had one goal with two assists.
