Jackson earned Second Team All-ODAC honors in the end of year poll, while seven more Maroons made the All-ODAC Teams. Seniors Michael Packo and Charles Pease garnered First Team All-ODAC honors. Jackson, Tyler McWilliams, Joey Dishaw, Jeff Dube and Wes Pancoast were named to the All-ODAC Second Team. Junior Troy Grogan was honored with an All-ODAC Third Team nod.
Pilat, in his 26th season guiding the Maroons, enjoys his second straight and 11th overall ODAC top coaching award. He's led Roanoke to the #1 seed in the ODAC Tournament for the second time in as many seasons, which also affords RC the opportunity to host the men's final four. Pilat led the Maroons to a 12-4 overall record and an 8-1 mark in league play. His career record now stands at 290-122 (.704) as he's won more than 60-percent of the games in Roanoke men's lacrosse history.
Jackson, a freshman from Baltimore, Md., stepped right in to lead the Maroons with 36 goals scored in his first campaign in Salem. He's currently second on the squad with 51 total points, adding 15 assists to résumé. He scored at least one goal in each of 16 games played this season, including a career-high five goals in a win over Lynchburg in early April. He scored three or more goals in seven different contests.
Michael Packo earns his first All-ODAC First Team honors, after receiving an honorable mention nod in 2012. Packo has played and started in all 16 games for the Maroons this season as a defender. He has had 35 ground balls and has forced seven turnovers. Joining Packo on the All-ODAC First Team is Roanoke goalkeeper, Charles Pease. Pease, who was a pre-season All-American, was also named First Team All-ODAC in 2013. Pease has played in all 16 games for the Maroons this season, tallying 883 minutes between the pipes. He ranks first in the ODAC in save percentage, stopping 60.4 percent of the shots hurled his way. He has made 172 saves on the season, which ranks fourth in the ODAC.
Joining Jackson on the All-ODAC Second Team attack squad is sophomore Tyler McWilliams. McWilliams played in 14 games this season at attack. He has scored 34 goals and dished out 18 assists, both of which rank 10th in the ODAC. He has scored three man-up goals and one man-down goal, while also picking up 21 ground balls and forcing four turnovers. Also on the Second Team is midfielder Joey Dishaw, earning his first All-ODAC nod in his career. Dishaw has played in 16 games this season, tallying 24 points, split between 13 goals and 11 assists. He was able to scoop up 38 ground balls, while forcing four turnovers.
Jeff Dube was also named long stick Second Team All-ODAC. Dube, a senior from Burlington, MA, has played in 15 games for the Maroons. He has picked up 26 ground balls and forced eight turnovers. Also picking up defensive Second Team honors is Wes Pancoast. Pancoast was named to the All-ODAC Third Team in 2013. Defensively, Pancoast has gathered 22 ground balls, as well as causing five turnovers. He also has one assist in Roanoke's 16-7 win over Randolph College.
On the All-ODAC Third Team is defensive player Troy Grogan. Grogan, a junior from Palgrave, Ontario, Canada, was named Second Team All-ODAC in 2013. Grogan has picked up 21 ground balls, while causing 10 turnovers.
