The Maroons fell in the ODAC Championship game against #1 seed and #4 ranked Lynchburg College on Sunday afternoon, leaving the Maroons to await the news of a potential at-large bid. As the bracket was being announced, the Maroons were left hanging until the final page was unveiled, keeping their season alive with a chance at the national crown.
With the at-large bid, Roanoke grabs its 25th NCAA Tournament appearance, and first since 2013, going on to face Salisbury University. The Seagulls enter the NCAA Tournament as the Champions of the CAC Tournament, defeating Frostburg State 14-5 in the title game. Salisbury fell in the 2014 NCAA Championship game to eventual champion Tufts.
The winner of Wednesday's contest will take on the winner of Stevenson and Eastern, in a game to be played on Saturday, May 9th. We will update the website as soon as a time has been set for the NCAA Tournament game on Wednesday.
