Curry Named Rookie of the Year, Men Place Six on All-ODAC Teams
FOREST – Six Roanoke College men's lacrosse players were named to the 2015 All-ODAC Teams, announced Wednesday.  Freshman Conn Curry was named ODAC Rookie of the year, while earning All-ODAC Third Team honors.  Kevin Jackson and Wes Pancoast were named All-ODAC First Team, Will Pilat and Tyler McWilliams earned Second Team honors, while Curry and Isles Mitchell received the Third Team nods.

Curry, a freshman from Easton, Conn., put together a strong rookie campaign as a long stick man for the Maroons, picking up 43 ground balls to place third on the team.  His 27 caused turnovers not only led the Maroons, but placed fourth in the conference.  He also got forward to register 11 points on nine goals and two assists.  Four times he registered three caused turnovers in game, and he pulled in five ground balls on two separate occasions.  He scored two goals in a game twice.

Kevin Jackson, the 2014 ODAC Rookie of the Year, was named First Team All-ODAC in 2015.  Jackson was a Second Team honoree in 2014.  Jackson finished fourth on the team in goals scored with 30, but led the Maroons with 26 assists to his credit.  He also finished with 36 ground balls and 14 forced turnovers.  Jackson was third in the ODAC with his assists total, while fourth in both shots (129) and shots on goal 77).  He also tied Colin Mackenzie on the squad for the team high in game winning goals with three.  Also receiving First Team All-ODAC honors is Wes Pancoast.  Pancoast is a three-time All-ODAC selection, being named Third Team in 2013 and Second Team in 2014.  The defender scored one goal for the Maroons with one assist, but ranked eighth in the ODAC in forced turnovers, causing 21 for the season.  He also ranked second on the Maroon squad and 14th in the ODAC in ground balls, picking up 47 over 17 games.

Roanoke's two players who made Second Team All-ODAC honors were a pair that each scored their 100th goal of their career in the last two games played.  Will Pilat, earned Second Team All-ODAC honors, after being named Third Team in 2013.  McWilliams was named Second Team All-ODAC in the 2014 season.  The pair tied for a team high in goals, putting home 40 goals apiece, tying for third most in the ODAC.  Pilat finished the season with 57 points, with 17 assists.  He notched two game winning goals, which include victories over Colorado College and Randolph.  Pilat finished with six man-up goals for the season as well.  McWilliams finished the season with 58 points, dishing out 18 assists on the season.  He also scored five man-up goals, while tallying 23 ground balls and five forced turnovers.  Jackson had three game-winners, defeating Randolph-Macon, Washington & Lee and Hampden-Sydney.

Isles Mitchell picked up his first All-ODAC honor in his senior season, being named to the Third Team.  The defender from Houston, TX, played in 18 games for the Maroons in 2015.  He finished with one goal on one shot, marking a perfect shooting percentage.  He tallied 29 ground balls, while forcing 14 turnovers, with a high of three against Hampden-Sydney in the 11-10 victory.
