Kevin Jackson named to 2015 VaSID All-State Team
Roanoke men's lacrosse sophomore Kevin Jackson was named Second-Team VaSID College Division All-State announced this afternoon . This is Jackson's second VaSID All-State honor as he was named VaSID College Division Rookie of the Year in 2014.

The Baltimore native received USILA Honorable Mention All-America honors this year and was named First-Team All-ODAC.  He collected the ODAC Rookie of the Year award in 2014 while being named All-ODAC Second-Team.

Jackson was fourth on the team in goals with 30, but dished out 26 assists for the Maroons, which was good for third in the ODAC this year. His 56 total points were also good for ninth in the ODAC. The sophomore also ranked in the Top-10 in the ODAC in shots (5th - 132) and shots on goal (4th - 78). He finished the year with 36 ground balls and 14 forced turnovers, and he tied for first on the team in game winning goals with Colin Mackenzie where they both had three.

The Maroons closed the 2015 season by going 12-7 overall, 7-2 in ODAC play.  Roanoke was nationally-ranked for five weeks in the USILA Top-20 poll this spring.  The 12 wins marks a record-setting seventh-straight 10-win season, en route to earning the programs' 25th trip to the NCAA Tournament.  The Maroons had three players named to the 2015 USILA All-America team (Wes PancoastWill PilatKevin Jackson), while six players were named to the All-ODAC squad this season.  Defenseman Con Curry was named ODAC Rookie of the Year.  The Maroons finished third in the conference, advancing to the ODAC Championship game, falling to #4 Lynchburg.
