Pilat and McWilliams Named to USILA Scholar All-American Team

Salem, Va. -- Roanoke College Men's Lacrosse standouts Will Pilat and Tyler McWilliams have been honored for their work in the classroom by being named to the 2016 USILA Scholar All-American team.

On the field, Pilat collected his second USILA All-American honor and graduated in May with a 3.3 GPA, while majoring in sports management. A four-time All-ODAC honoree, he finished the year with 52 points which ranked 10th in the league, while his 35 goals was ninth and his 17 assists was 15th.

McWilliams majored in business and graduated with a 3.7 GPA. McWilliams earned his first All-American honor after being chosen as First-Team All-ODAC earlier this year.  It was his third All-ODAC accolated after he was fourth in the ODAC with 63 points.  He ranked fifth in the league with 40 goals and sixth in assists with 23.

Roanoke extended its school record with its eighth consecutive season with 10 or more wins, finishing with 13 victories in 2016, four of those victories were against NCAA Tournament teams.  The Maroons finished atop the ODAC regular season standings for the 23rd time since 1981.
