Roanoke Men's Lacrosse Moves Up to No. 10 in USILA Top-20 Poll

SALEM, Va. – On the strength of a 3-0 start, the Roanoke College Men's Lacrosse team has moved up to No. 10 in the country in the latest USILA Division III Coaches Poll.

The Maroons garnered 178 points to jump up three spots from last week and is just one-of-two ODAC teams ranked. RC has recorded wins over Berry (Ga.), No. 15 Denison and Sewanee to start the year.

Roanoke leads the ODAC in scoring, notching an average of 16 goals per game this season. The Maroons have connected on 87.5% of their man-up opportunities, which is tops in the league. Tyler McWilliams has scored seven goals and added six assists for 13 points which is seventh-highest in the ODAC, while reigning ODAC Player of the Week IV Stucker is ninth in points with 11 (9g, 2a).

Defensively, RC is allowing just seven goals per game which is second-best in the ODAC. Ian Davies and Burke McManus have split time in the cage for RC, combining to make 36 saves on the season.  

Roanoke will host York at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans are receiving votes in the USLIA poll and are 3-0 on the season after a 13-5 win over McDaniel on Saturday.
