Roanoke Men's Lacrosse Places League High Five on All-ODAC First-Team; Eight Maroons Honored Overall
Forest, Va. – The Roanoke College Men's Lacrosse team placed eight student-athletes, including a league best five first-team members on the 2016 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Conference team announced on Thursday.  

Tyler McWilliams was named First-Team All-ODAC at attack, while Kevin Jackson and IV Stucker were named to the first-team midfield. Conn Curry was tabbed as best long stick in the league as he earned a first-team nod along with defenseman Robby Moore. Will Pilat was named Second-Team All-ODAC at attack and Reid Kaminksi earned second team laurels as a face-off man. Joey Dishaw was also named to the sportsmanship team.

McWilliams earns his third All-ODAC accolated after he was fourth in the ODAC with 63 points.  He ranked fifth in the league with 40 goals and sixth in assists with 23. Earlier this season he became just one of 12 players in RC history to score 200 career points. McWilliams finished his career with 147 goals which is sixth most all-time, while his 92 assists is eighth highest and his 239 points is sixth best in program history.

Jackson garnered his second straight first-team and his third all-league laurel overall as he closed out his junior year with 45 points which ranked him 14th in the ODAC. His 29 goals and his 16 assists both rank in the top-20 in the league.

Stucker earns his first All-ODAC award following a sophomore campaign in which he finished 10th in the ODAC with 52 points. He scored 39 goals which was 10th best in the ODAC, while his 17 assist ranked 15th.

Curry followed up his ODAC Rookie of the Year award from last season with a first-team nod in 2016. Curry was fifth in the ODAC with 27 caused turnovers and he racked up 45 ground balls on the season and had two goals and an assist.

Moore caused 15 turnovers which was 19th best in the ODAC and snared 42 groundballs during the season. Curry and Moore helped RC to an 8.94 goals against average as team which was third best in the league. RC keepers also posted a 56.8 save percentage behind the duo which was second highest in the ODAC.

Pilat capped off his career in Salem with his fourth All-ODAC selection. He finished the year with 52 points which ranked 10 in the league, while his 35 goals was ninth and his 17 assists was 15th. Pilat joined McWilliams in the 200 point club earlier this season and finished his career with a 135 goals, 74 assists and 209 total points which is 10th most in program history. He ranks 10th in career goals and 15th in career assists.

Kaminski earned second-team honors after winning 140 face-offs which was third most in the ODAC and his 62.2 winning percentage was seven best. He also scored two goals and added three assists.

Dishaw was named to the inaugural Ray Rostan Men's Lacrosse Sportsmanship Team. Dishaw started all 18 games and finished with 17 goals and 12 assists for 29 points.

Roanoke extended its school record with its eighth consecutive season with 10 or more wins, finishing with 13 victories in 2016, four of those victories were against NCAA Tournament teams.  The Maroons finished atop the ODAC regular season standings for the 23rd time since 1981.
