- A goal by McDaniel's Timothy McNichol with 8:15 to go in the third quarter opened the second-half scoring and made it a 6-4 game.
- Sarro sparked four unanswered goals by Roanoke, first setting up a Devane score with just over six minutes left in the third, and then notching back-to-back goals of his own to extend the Roanoke lead to 9-4 with 2:12 left in the quarter.
- A Dylan Stein goal in the closing seconds made the score 10-4 going into the final quarter.
- Following a Will Kroppe score that pulled McDaniel within five at 10-5, Lindley scored twice and Stucker scored for Roanoke to push the RC lead to 13-5 with four minutes to go in the game.
