Salem, Va – Roanoke senior attack Jason Sarro has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

Sarro, a senior from Baltimore, Md., put together a 14-point week over two games that saw Roanoke open the season with a 1-1 showing. Sarro began the campaign with seven points on three goals and four assists in a 24-12 setback to nationally 20th-ranked Christopher Newport University. He added a pair of ground balls to his line in that game. Sarro helped Roanoke rebound with a 14-6 win over Sewanee in Salem on Saturday. He scored five times and handed out a pair of assists to go with three ground balls. One of his tallies was a man-down goal.

Roanoke is back in action on Sunday when it heads to No. 7 Denison for a 1:00 p.m. game.
