Men's Soccer Falls in Final Contest of Regular Season
HAMPDEN-SYDNEY - The Roanoke Men's Soccer team dropped their final regular season ODAC matchup against Hampden-Sydeney, 1-0 Tuesday night. The Maroons fall to 12-5-1, 7-2-1 in ODAC play, while the Tigers rise to 9-8, 4-6 ODAC.

The game remained scoreless through the first 73 minutes, until Bryan Wharton took a passing shot on the left side of the goal and knocked a low bouncing ball to the right side of the net for the game winner.

The Maroons outshot the Tigers 16-14, but both had eight shots on goal. Roanoke also led in corner kicks 6-4. The Maroons still hold the series lead 26-14-5, and the last two meetings between these teams have ended in a 1-1 tie.

Roanoke has locked up the #1 seed in the ODAC tournament that starts on Saturday, but must wait until after Wednesday to find out who they will be playing. The Maroons will host the Quarterfinal contest, but a time has not been set.
