Six Maroons Named to 2013 Men's Soccer All-ODAC Teams

FOREST, Va. --- Randolph College striker Corey Sindle was tabbed the ODAC Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons to highlight the 2013 All-ODAC men's soccer awards.  Virginia Wesleyan College mentor Chris Mills earned ODAC Coach of the Year honors, while fellow Marlin Kyle Fisher was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year.  Washington and Lee University midfielder Al Organ secured ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete accolades from the league's sports information directors.

Six Maroons earned All-ODAC honors in the 2013 season.  Sophomore Tyler Carbaugh and junior Garrett Eldridge were tabbed with First Team accolades.  Senior Patrick Bain and sophomore Dionys Beck earned Second Team honors this season.  Senior Brian White and sophomore Marc Dinkel finished with Third Team awards.

Carbaugh, a sophomore from Blacksburg, VA, was named ODAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-ODAC in 2012.  He started all 18 games played in the 2013 season for the Maroons.  He ranked second on the squad in total points, finishing with four goals and four assists.  Carbaugh ranked eighth in the ODAC in game-winning goals with two, one against Richard Stockton and the other against Randolph-Macon.  In the Randolph-Macon game, he had a four point game with one goal and two assists.

Eldridge, a junior from Wayne, PA, was named to the All-ODAC Third team in 2012.  Eldridge started all 18 games in the 2013 season for Roanoke.  He finished the season with five points, scoring one goal and dishing out three assists.  His three assists ranked 16th in the ODAC in 2013.  In Roanoke's game against Randolph-Macon, Eldridge had a three point game, scoring one goal with one assist.

Bain, a senior from New Market, VA, was named to the NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region Third Team and VaSID All-State Second Team in 2012.  He has earned All-ODAC honors in each of the past three years.  Bain started all 18 games played in the 2013 season.  He finished the year with five points, scoring one goal and dishing out three assists.  He took 15 shots on the year, six of which were on goal. 

Beck, a sophomore from Blacksburg, VA picked up his first All-ODAC accolades this season.  He was a big part of the Roanoke defense in 2013, starting all 18 games played in the backfield.  He finished the season with one assist, dished out during the Maroons game against Hampden-Sydney on October 26th.

White, a senior from Virginia Beach, VA, has earned All-ODAC honors in each of the last three seasons.  He started 13 of 18 games played during his senior season in Salem.  He tied for the most goals on the squad with five, which ranks 12th for goals scored in the ODAC.  White tied for second on the team for total points with 12, including his five goals with two assists.  He was named ODAC Player of the Week on September 30th for scoring three of Roanoke's six goals in the week.

Dinkel, a sophomore from Basel, Switzerland, led the team in total points for the 2013 season.  He finished this year with five goals and six assists.  His six assists ranked sixth most in all of the ODAC.  Dinkel had at least one goal or one assist in eight of 10 consecutive games starting with Richard Stockton on August 31st.  He finished three different games with three points.  He tallied one game-winning goal against Shenandoah, in Roanoke's 4-0 win.
