The Lead: The Roanoke men's and women's swim teams made the two-hour trip southwest to face Emory & Henry in a dual meet on Saturday. The meet consisted of 28 different races (14 men and 14 women) and the Maroons would win 25 of the 28 total events on their way to picking up wins over the Wasps.

Women's highlights:

  • The women would win all 14 events, 12 individual and two relays.
  • The quartet of Maddie Andrews, Lore Gibson, Elizabeth Roberts, and Lily Mullens got the meet off to a quick start with a win in the 200 Medley relay.
  • In the 800 Freestyle, Susanna Price touched over 30 seconds clear of the runner-up in a time of 9:33.06. Price would win a second individual event with a victory in the 100 Butterfly (1:10.97) and made it a perfect, 3-3, with a win in the 400 Freestyle, 4:42.16.
  • Grace Fountain added first-place points in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:17.04
  • In addition to the opening relay win, Mullens won a pair of individual races, the 50 Backstroke (31.98) and the 50 Freestyle (29.04).
  • Gibson added wins in the 50 Breaststroke in a final time of 37.85, and the 100 Breaststroke, 1:23.17.
  • In the 100 Freestyle, Roberts out-touched the field in a time of 1:04.25 before returning later in the afternoon for a winning time of 31.92 in the 50 Butterfly.
  • Andrews added first-place points with a time of 1:09.81 in the 100 Backstroke.
  • The final individual event for the women, the 100 Individual Medley was won by Bailey Gallagher with a time of 1:14.30.
  • To make it 14 of 14 the team of Mullens, Hannah Zhang, Paige Shaika, and Hannah Petty finished five seconds clear of second place (1:56.82) in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Men's highlights:

  • The Roanoke men won both relays and nine of the individual events.
  • The opening relay, the 200 Medley, Roanoke would get the meet off to a win by the team of Erik Kratzer, Logan Deal, Ben Tate, and Xavier Williams (1:49.43).
  • Ethan Brewer won the longest event of the meet, the 800 Freestyle, with a time of 9:02.30. Brewer added another win in the 400 Freestyle with a final touch of 4:20.83.
  • In the 200 Freestyle, Cole Hensen kept the first-place points coming with a final of 2:03.31.
  • The 50 Breaststroke belonged to Connor Kinkema by almost a full second (32.22).
  • Tate added his individual win in the 100 Butterfly as the only swimmer to break the one-minute mark (59.98).
  • Williams won back-to-back events, first he posted a time of 24.40 in the 50 Freestyle and then got right back in the pool for a final time of 54.38 in the 100 Freestyle.
  • Erik Kratzer joined the winners circle with a time of 1:01.16 in the 100 Backstroke.
  • Deal claimed the 100 Breaststroke with a final time of 1:08.22.
  • The 28th and final event, the 200 Freestyle Relay would go to the team of Kratzer, Williams, Deal, and Richie Evans finished off the meet with a winning time of 1:38.86.
