Dickinson Downs Maroons 8-1

CARLISLE, Pa. --- The Roanoke College men's tennis team dropped its third match of the season to Dickinson, 8-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Maroons fell to 0-3 on the season. The Red Devils improved to 7-3.
The Red Devils swept every singles match against the Maroons in addition to the number two and three doubles matches.
Jon Ror lost 6-2, 7-5 in #1 singles while Sam Sherrill lost 6-0, 6-4 in #2 singles. Drew Rogers, Pete DeWitt, and Alex Lyons took each their opponents to three sets in the four through six seeds.
In the doubles competition, Ror and Sherrill won in the number one spot to bring home a point for the Maroons. The duo defeated Ross Anstaett and Pavel Hejesk 8-6. Roanoke's number two and three seeds in doubles competition both dropped their matches 8-3.
The men will travel to Lynchburg on Tuesday, Mar. 17. Match time is set for 3:30.
